The Hall is very deceptive from the road outside as it seems quite small, but a number of new hirers have been quite surprised when they come in, saying "Gosh, it's much bigger than I realised".

The Hall's internal measurements are approximately

60 feet long (18.25 metres) 

28 feet wide (8.5 metres) 

18 feet high (5.5 metres) 


Maximum capacity is 100 people

 

The floor is a new sprung wooden surface that is ideal for most types of event, especially exercise and dance BUT NOT for marked court sports or many other ball games.​ Our dancers especially like it as it is a lot more comfortable to dance on than many halls, due to the "give".


There are separate Gents and Ladies toilet facilities with a Disabled toilet and access door for wheelchairs

There is a circuit registered defibrillator on site


Across the centre of the hall, there are ceiling height curtains to divide the space to make smaller areas, ideal for small meetings.


There is a kitchen for heating food (BUT NOT preparing and cooking food from scratch)

Kitchen

with microwave, new hob and oven, urn & kettles, crockery/glassware for up to 50 people. However, there is NO Cutlery provided - please supply your own. There are also tea towels, plus the usual separate sink facilities

There are 14 Large tables:
Length = 1630mm

Easily seat 6-8 people
There are 60 wooden back

There are also 12 square tables
800mm x 800mm

and 32 green plastic adult sized chairs

There are 12 blue plastic children's chairs which can be requested and used subject to approval by Pre-school Playgroup who own them 

Security

Wootton Memorial Hall with Fence

This photo shows the fence that surrounds the front and sides, with the open gate. This gate can be fully secured with a padlock to ensure that only hirers and their guests have access.

Note that the gate is always secured when the Hall is not in use.

Car Parking
